I may sound old-fashioned, but I want to think all women should be treated like I want my wife, daughters, and granddaughters to be treated. I notice today that good manners—like standing up when a woman enters the room, helping a woman with her coat, letting her enter an elevator first, taking her arm to cross the street—are sometimes considered unnecessary or a throwback. These are habits I could never break, nor would I want to. I realize today a lot more women are taking care of themselves than in the past, but no woman is offended by politeness.

this past weekend, i had the opportunity to do make up for a fellow hair stylist, jamilah ewing, on her most recent project.  it was a great time, and her styles were flawless.  #muchrespect goes out to jamilah being a true visionary!

I had the chance of laying a Simple Spif on the lady of the cover’s manicure. For the shoot we used China Glaze’s Recycle. I was completely honored to have the opportunity! I’m STILL on level nineteen-hundred. [um, CHECK THOSE CREDITS AT THE BOTTOM OF PAGE 6, lol] also in the mag listed on Ebony’s 100 List are some ladies I look up to, Afrobella & Necole Bitchie. Congrat my lovelies! Mag hits stands the 29th! AHHHHH!
